GoNoodle
Brain breaks are a great way for students to get out their energy, get up and moving, or re-focus when needed. I plan to use the videos on GoNoodle multiple times a day in order to enhance my class' learning and to manage behavior caused by too much energy. When I feel my students are goofing off or fidgeting to the point in which the lesson is being affected, I will use a brain break to re-focus them. This will be a good tool to use at times such as after lunch or recess in order to get the students' minds back on the subject area.

Attention grabbers
In order to run a smooth classroom, I will need to have a variety of strategies to get the attention of my class when needed. Below are a few ideas that I can use to quiet down my class or focus them.
- Class, yes
- Hands and eyes
- Clapping, students repeat
- "A hush fell over the crowd"
- Hocus pocus, everybody focus
Teaching Tolerance
Teaching Tolerance is a website that promotes teaching equality, diversity, and respect in the classroom. This website contains lessons plans and activities for all grade levels that are helpful in creating a successful classroom community. When respect and tolerance are taught in the classroom, behaviors can be managed more easily. Instead of only punishing students for behaviors that are disrespectful, it will be more effective to teach respectful behaviors as well.
